Resting in a junkyard for old fords in Chillagoe, a small town west of Cairns. This old ford pickup made the perfect light foreground painting subject for this night shot.

Rust in Peace
The dump paddock on a western Queensland property. There were many relics of the past rusting in peace. I was so enthralled I spent the whole afternoon and well into the evening photographing. This old Bedford pickup just begged to be lit and light painted. Because of the property's distance from the coast rusting progressed very slowly.
The old Cleveland Point lighthouse at the blue hour. Arrived there early with the intention of capturing a long exposure with car trails and some star trails. Waiting for cars to come around the round about to trail their red tail light. During the 80 sec or so exposure I light painted the Lighthouse tower to make it pop. Many attempts later I came up with this capture.
Off Road Camping
Our outback camping trip in our Kedron off road caravan. Comfort and the wide open outback. The best of both worlds.
The Sentinel's Judgement
Red Mangrove sentinels towering over man as if in Judgement over man's care of their environment.
They came from the Stars.
Three red mangrove trees looking like visitors from outer space as they span themselves under the Milky Way.
Red Mangrove trees seemingly having a meeting under the Milky way on the tidal flats north of Cairns.
