I'm Hungry

Young Dingo dog desperately feeding on a very old cattle carcass that was just mostly sun-baked leather. Taken a few years ago in the Cape country of Far North Queensland. I managed, keeping a low profile, to slowly crawl through some sparse grass and tea trees on my stomache inching forward carrying just my Nikon D200 camera and my 70-200VR Nikon lens. I got to within 15 metres or so. The dingo was eventually aware of my presence but seemed to tolerate it whilst it fed. I collected a couple of images before I retreated and let it have a feed undisturbed.

From the Shadows

Sitting in my hide beside the waterhole a movement in the shadows by the bushes caught my eye. Cautiously, this large goanna slid out to sun itself and taste the air.
